Project Description
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:7
Have you thought about how you pray? Do you use the same words and phrases every time you pray? Are you engaged in thought or are their just some empty phrases? Today instead of just praying the way you usually do, take a moment to think about your prayer today before you start…change it up a bit. Here’s a great outline:
ADORATION: Take a few moments to praise God for who He is. List out a few of His character traits you have read about in Scripture that are most meaningful to you.
CONFESSION: Take a few moments and confess where you have fallen short. Take a few moments and ask Him to reveal to you where you have fallen short…don’t rush through this time…really listen.
THANKSGIVING: Thank Him for what He has done for you…try to think of something you have never thanked Him for before.
SUPPLICATION: Tell Him who and what is on your heart and ask Him to intervene.
