Project Description
Today we are celebrating communion in worship. Communion is a very simple act, it’s just grape juice and a wafer. But it is a powerful reminder of what Christ did for us on the cross. A few moments of preparation could be the catalyst to an answered prayer.
4 Scriptures to help you prepare:
Self-Examination
“Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A person ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.â€Â 1 Corinthians 11:27-28
Confession of Sin
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Recommitment
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1
Restoration of Relationships
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.” Matthew 5:23-24
