Day21

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

You know the things that keeps you up at night so anxious: Your son or daughter your wife, your job, that bill, the cancer, the health issue … That thing just might be God’s greatest billboard if you will trust Him.  The alternative of walking away doesn’t make your life easier or better, it just makes it harder.  I’ve heard it said: “The only thing worse than disappointment with God is disappointment without God.”

God’s empowering grace is sufficient. Every single time you come to God you will find mercy and grace in your time of need. It takes a lot more faith to go through a NO answer from God or a seemingly God-inactive season of your life than to get a YES from God. When God says NO it is not a reflection of your faith. When God says NO you have the opportunity to become a reflection of His greatness and glory and power.

Have you ever thought about just how many people are praying during a football game for their team to win. Or while one person is praying that God would smooth it out with a person they just left, the other person is praying that they’d come back? Or You’re praying for God to give you your job back and your boss is praising God because you’re gone. Lol…

How does God do it? You don’t need a God to do things the way you want. You need a God who can see through the lies to the truth. You need a God who is all knowing and has already been down the road before and has knowledge of the outcome ahead of time.   You need a God that has all power and can work in any and every circumstance no matter how big or small and work it out for His glory and Your good. You need a God that no matter how big the problem is doesn’t have to ask for advice on what to do, but has already been working out a solution even before you knew it was a problem.

You need a God who has compassion on your faults and your hangups and despite knowing everything about you still loves you enough to send His only Son to live the life you couldn’t live, die on a cross to the pay the penalty that you couldn’t pay and 3 days later rise from the dead defeating forever the bonds of death and sin. Wait a minute that’s what we have, don’t walk away when He says NO, or is seemingly inactive, Lean hard on him and EVERY TIME you will receive his mercy and grace to ENDURE.

• Today ask God for strength to endure in faith and prayer, trusting Him during the silent, seemingly God-inactive seasons of your life. Thank Him for how He has worked in your past. Get specific and name the times you can remember. Thank Him for even the times you can’t remember.

• Ask God for healing of your past pain and your past struggles and ask Him to turn them around to be used for your good, the good of others and for His glory.

• Pray that God would powerfully work on Easter to bring about the salvation of all those in attendance who do not yet know Him as Savior and Lord. Pray for boldness for our Church family to invite their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
