Project Description

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.  Romans 12:3-8

It absolutely thrills me when I think that the God of Heaven can and wants to actually use me! We all should be very grateful to know that we can be an instrument to accomplish His will here on earth. Faithful Christians are the tools God uses to do great things that have eternal value. He uses His followers as witnesses to the entire earth to tell everyone about Him and His love.

When you stop to think about it, you and I can truly alter the course of history and the world. Unfortunately, some people are not being used by God because they are either unwilling or unfaithful. It is said that Leon Trotsky, who was a key part of the Communist revolution in Russia, actually attended a Sunday school class one day during a visit to America. But the teacher of the class was absent that morning, and did not bother to get a substitute. So, no one taught the Bible that morning, and as far as anyone knows, Trotsky never attended church again. What if someone had been faithful enough to show up that morning? It may have helped to alter history! All that God asks of us is to make ourselves available to Him. Tell the Lord today that you want to faithfully serve Him. Who knows what wonderful things might happen when you are faithful to the Lord?

It’s been said that small deeds done are better than great deeds planned. Your part might seem small, but God uses each of our parts to accomplish His great purpose. PRAY TODAY

  • Pray for God to raise up an army of volunteers to accomplish His great plan through our Church Family. “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37

  • Pray for the 5 LifeGroups meeting tonight that people would grow closer to God in their understanding and obedience.

  • Pray God would draw the lost to worship  this weekend. Pray that we would have guests join us for worship in both services.

  • Pray for the families of those being baptized in the next few weeks that their friends and family would be drawn to Christ through their testimony.  Pray for those that have not been baptized to take their next step of faith and obey God’s leading to be baptized.
